How do you keep an office chair from bunching up an area rug?

I just got a desk and chair from my office to setup my own home office. The chair has wheels on it so I can roll around. I want to put an area rug under the desk. How do I keep the rug from bunching up when I move around in the chair?

Im trying to lower my office chair but it is different then my last one. My last one had some lever that you just puch and your weight will lower it like hydralics, but this chair is different it dont have that lever the only thing it has is some type of knob that turn at the bottom. I tried that and nothing happens does anyone know how to lower these types of chairs?

I bought a decent looking office chair a garage sale, and its one of those with the lever that makes it sink and rise. Problem is, it starts sinking when you sit in it because I guess its leaking air or something, and then it gets really low. Is there some way I can make it just stay in place? Can I open up the tube and fill it with something? Any ideas?

A couple of years ago, I saw dining room funiture that had overstuffed, almost office like chairs that were on casters and rolled. Been looking for a set like this ever since. Anyone know where to find something like this?
